Photoaging also known as Dermatoheliosis, the effect of chronic exposure to UVA and UVB light mostly on the skin that is expose like the skin of the face, ears, neck and hands.
UVB rays are shorter of the two and the cause of sunburn. UVA rays, the longer wavelength goes deep into the skin, causing the damage associated with photoaging.

Signs and Symptoms:
Age spots on the face and hands and neck
Uneven complexion
leathery skin
Loss of color and fullness in lips
Fine lines
Thickening of the skin
Wrinkles around the eyes
Treatment and prevention of photoaging:
First line of defence is to limit exposure to sun when UV rays is at its strongest.
Put on clothes that protect from UV exposure, hats and sunglasses.
Can’t be said enough always use sun screen, no matter your age or race it is very important to use sunscreen.
