Fat and Aging

Those extra pounds that you are carrying around is not only leading you to health problems like heart disease, cancer, diabetes, arthritis,  but also accelerating the rate at which you age, and taking you to an early grave. In fact the more fat you carry the older your cells are a molecular level. Science suggests that fat play a role in premature aging, even if it does not show on the outside those extra pounds are aging you organs on the inside, and this premature aging of internal organs may be the cause of  problems associated with being overweight.

A lifestyle change can stop or may even reverse this process, a lifestyle including a balanced diet and exercise can help you lose weight. Calorie restriction is another option that can, not only reduce weight and help you keep the weight off, but could extend your lifespan.

Calorie restriction has been known to increase the lifespan of mammals by as much as 50 percent, and avoid diseases of old age. Could calorie restriction increase lifespan in humans.?
